I'm going to be a mother!

OK, that made me giggle. 'Cause I'd shoot myself if THAT were the case.

Rather, I'm going to be a mother-in-LAW!!!!!

YoungSon is engaged!!!

That's all I know. Aren't we supposed to pay for something?

Hope I win big in Vegas, that's what I'm sayin'

:)

Yea!
We were married in Spain...no clue what "real" wedding etiquette is and we had nothing to pay for so can't help ya.

Just look at all of the stuff going right...not so doomy and gloomy now, is it?

Congrats! Yes, definately the rehearsal dinner and the honeymoon. *eek gads*

It's been awhile so some of that may have changed. =)

'round here they pay for the alcohol at the reception too. Don't know if that is so anywhere else. Congrats all around.
Mother of the groom in a skort and marine boots, milk maid braids and nose jewelry. woooohoooo Can everyone where their uniforms? Is that appropriate?

Dear anonymous...

This is not the time for smart-ass-ery.

Even if it did make me laugh out loud. :)

YoungSon won't be in uniform yet, Husband could probably squeeze into his and while I'm fairly sure my left leg could fit into the waistband of my skirt, the REST of my probably won't fit. So no uniforms.

Congrats! It's typical for the groom's parents to get the rehearsal dinner and the bridal party flowers, I think. So...Arby's and daisies anyone?

Congratulations!!! I've never heard of anything but the rehearsal dinner being paid for by the groom's family. Keep us posted - this is great news!

Oh, buddy buddy. Welcome to the woman's role in life of walking on egg shells, ha! I dearly love my one-and-only daughter-in-law but it's a continual puzzle trying to figure her out and not hurt her feelings. She's very sensitive. I'm right out front and blunt. But we seem to get along fine. I think.

Oh...as paretns of the groom we paid for the rehearsal dinner. As far as I know that was all that was required of us. At least, that's what the minister's wife told us. And that was plenty!
